Trying to reduce our Carbon footprint
For the last couple of years, we've been expanding and making more products and van wiring kits. We're also trying to decrease our impact on the environment so it can stay as it is for all of us to enjoy.
The first thing we did was immediately offset our carbon footprint for the workshop's heating bills and electricity usage. This was pretty straightforward and we did this by planting some trees in the UK and Kenya. We worked out our impacting using the calculator on https://www.carbonfootprint.com/ this was simple and we ended up with around 3 tonnes in house.
The next change we're in the process of making would be to use sea shipping wherever possible as we import materials and components or export our finished products. Air freight is incredibly bad for the environment and can give off 45 times more carbon dioxide than sea freight (world shipping council).
We are always trying to make a difference so we will continue to come up with new ideas so please watch this space.
